OCD is a highly misunderstood mental health challengeFrequent hand washing or excessive tidiness are two ways OCD is frequently portrayed, but the reality is that OCD is a very diverse condition. Because of this diversity (and the confusion and shame some OCD themes create), people often go a long time without a diagnosis. Below, I will link to helpful resources covering the various ways that OCD expresses itself. It is my fervent hope that our society begins to understand OCD so that more and more sufferers get help. Imagine living with a condition that negatively impacts your life for 14 years before seeking help. That's exactly what the average person with OCD does. Please help spread the word!
